Membership
Membership in Beta Alpha Psi includes those persons of good moral character who have achieved scholastic and/or professional excellence in the fields of accounting, finance, or information systems, who have been initiated by an existing chapter and who remain in good standing. You cannot be a candidate if you are trying to join in the same semester that you graduate.
Associate Candidate Qualifications
- Have a declared major in accounting, finance, or information systems.
- Attend one of the new candidate informational meetings.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (3.25 in last 30 semester hours.)
- Have not taken and not enrolled in 3000-level major course in Accounting, Finance, or MIS (example: ACCT 3313 for Accounting majors)
- Have taken or currently enrolled in ACCT 2301 or ACCT 2302.
- Submit all necessary documentation and forms to the VP of Membership.
Candidate Qualifications (Undergraduate)
- Have a declared major in accounting, finance, or information systems.
- Attend one of the new candidate informational meetings.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (3.25 in last 30 semester hours.)
- Have taken or currently enrolled in 3000-level major course in accounting, finance, or information systems (example: ACCT 3313 for accounting majors.)
- Submit all necessary documentation and forms to the VP of Membership.
Candidate Qualifications (Graduate)
- Majoring, concentrating, or have a stated interest in accounting, finance or information systems.
- Attend one of the new candidate informational meetings.
- Attained a cumulative GPA in their graduate courses of at least 3.0 or equivalent.
- Submit all necessary documentation and forms to the VP of Membership.
